As an Engineering Degree Apprentice you will be part of our engineering design team working on the development of new products and services in Stores Ejection, Data Processing and Safety Critical Systems for aerospace and defence customers around the world.

Our products and services rely upon mechanical, electronic, software, systems and safety engineering to deliver multi-functional solutions to some of our customer’s hardest problems. Our 5 year degree apprenticeship programme combines a University Degree Apprenticeship course (which delivers a Bachelors of Engineering degree) with structured work placements across our business.

How long is the scheme?

Our degree apprenticeship programme lasts 5 years during which you will undertake a part time degree (day release) as well as a series of placements around the business, predominantly focused on engineering but also giving exposure to wider functions such as project management, operations, sales and marketing. We work with you to tailor the scheme to meet your desires alongside the needs of the degree course and our business.

What qualifications do you need?

You will need 5 GCSEs at grade 9 - 4 or A* - C including mathematics, English and science, technology or engineering related subjects and A Levels at grade C or above in both a mathematical based subject and a science, tech, engineering or additional mathematics related subject, or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC. Learners must have the equivalent to 112 UCAS points.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who are excited about engineering, want to work on difficult problems and are open to being challenged as well as gaining the experience from overcoming those obstacles. Above all, you need to be willing to get stuck in as part of a team.

What you can expect from us:

  • Challenging and interesting work
  • Clear guidance and feedback
  • Development in the form of technical, commercial and interpersonal skills.
